Shadows on the Road

I drive past these trees every day on the way home from work, admiring the shadows they cast on the road, and finally had the right timing to take pictures of it. Another image for my shadow collection.

Shadows and Grass

I remain obsessed with shadows and grass. This time of year is too good for shots like these. The shadows are not hampered by leaves on the trees, and the grass is an unbelievable shade of green. Although I rarely crop my images, I did crop off the top of this one because I only want to look at the grass. Mmmmmm grass.

Apple Blossoms

The hills are covered with blossoming orchards, too beautiful to imagine. Hard to believe each flower becomes an apple . . . right?

Action Outside My Window

What a winter we had. Large branches fell from the weight of the wet snow all around the property, and my furry and feathered friends are making up for lost time! They are very busy, and make for the best entertainment you could find anywhere. Always have my camera in hand . . .

Not Stones

This gorgeous pattern is not stones. It is water on a sunroof. More, more.

More Water

The patterns in water are mesmerizing. I cannot get enough. In the bottom shot, I love the way the sun reflects as little stars.

Luscious Water

I am fortunate to work near a lovely little river that I often sit by during my lunch hour. It is very quiet and peaceful. One day I saw an eagle fly right up its pathway. Wish I'd had my camera in hand at that moment!

College Kids

There was still plenty of snow on the ground, but the warm air, a little patch of grass, and some sunshine lured these college kids outside as if it was summertime.

Hawk

Saw my neighbor standing outside with binoculars -- there was this beautiful hawk hanging around in the field across the road. I think he/she was sitting on top of a mouse or a mole. I ran inside to get my telephoto lens, and took a few shots, most of which were a little blurry because I was not too close.

Frozen River

Looking down from a bridge, I spied these lovely footprints left by some critters. The next snowfall covered up the prints, but we can enjoy them forever with this image.

Too Pretty To Take Down

The sunset . . . the holiday lights . . . the snow; this is a cozy sight that gives such a peaceful feeling.

Snow Pockets

For some reason the snow created all these pockets on my lawn and then froze that way. It was very slippery and hard to walk on. But when the midday sun casts deep shadows -- wow.
