Red Tree

Saw this tree on the side of the road lit by the setting sun and backed by a dark gray sky. I swerved to pull over and grabbed my camera and took a bunch of shots -- within minutes, the tree was no longer lit up so fantastically. Right time and place and happened to have my camera with me!

There were clumps and clumps of eastern painted turtles sunning themselves blissfully in the gorgeous spring sun today . . . what a peaceful sight.

I was given this amaryllis bulb back in November as a birthday gift, and this week it bloomed with four fantastic blossoms. You can practically watch the blossoms growing. This plant is unbelievably bright and daring and sexy . . . a great gift to enjoy in the middle of a very cold winter. Thank you.
